Yes, summer is ending...but a new school year is beginging! This year, I'm excited for my studies--except for math...and maybe science. I am taking a literature and a history class that are intertwined, a writing class (harder than last year), and drama and art (but they aren't full classes because they only meet twice a month with little homework). I am especially excited for the literature and history classes because my sister took the literature class last year and loved it. :) I can't wait to go back-to-school shopping!

Wow. I can't believe that summer is coming to an end. I have enjoyed this summer greatly. It started with Katie's birthday (she is now SIXTEEN!) , my birthday (I'm now fourteen), and Allie's birthday (she's...well, she is an adult so I won't tell you how old she is :). Those were all happy days. Then, I went to a family reunion. It was a blast including boating, tubing, swimming, talking, playing games with my cousins, and eating. I had soooo much fun! Next, my mom and Katie went to Alaska. They were gone for five days in total, leaving the kids and Dad here... Katie and Mom had a lot of fun in Alaska, and the rest of us had fun here-watching movies and TV shows, eating ice cream, cleaning the house, priming the attic trim , eating at Famous Dave's, and playing games. :) Lately, I have been enjoying the pool in our backyard and getting together with friends. It has been a great summer!

I don't really feel like writing about anything that is going to take a lot of time, such as writing about a bird flying into our car, a clown cup that I made in art class, or about how my play went. Those posts may come later, but I wanted to write a quick entry, so that all of my loyal readers don't think that I'm dead. Or figure that some tragedy has occurred in my family. I'm fine (a bit tired of school, but fine), and hopefully, during the summer, I will take the time to sit down and update!
Actually, I think that I can quickly update you on the play. We performed on May 8 and it went pretty smoothly! My dad lovingly recorded the event, and my friend also gave me a copy, so its well documented if anyone would like to come over and see it sometime! :)

A while ago, Amy and I started a blog called "Playdough World" and you can check it out at www.playdoughworld.blogspot.com . We are going to try to post some of the crafts that we do (and hopefully lots of pictures too!). Forgive our spelling, capitalization, and grammar errors, please (we are still young)! :)

Yesterday, Katie and I played Pictionary with some friends of ours. Everyone laughed at some point. The various ridiculous figures that people sketch in order to get their teammates to guess the correct words are hilarious! When I tried to get my team to guess the place "Arkansas", I didn't know where this state was placed in the U.S. Well, after drawing the United States, I drew some states, in places I thought Arkansas was placed (I thought it was in a completely different place than it actually was :) ). When desperate for them to figure out the states name, I drew an arch to get the first section of the states name to their heads. Well, THAT didn't work, so I started drawing an ark, someone guessed "boat". Finally, one thing led to another, and they stated the correct place. The process it took to get their minds thinking correctly was hilarious, as in many other situations throughout the game of Pictionary.

This evening, my family went to the movie theater! We separated into two groups. My dad, Keith, and I watched The Blind Side and my mom, Katie, and Amy watched Young Victoria. I may have gone with the girls, but for specific reasons, I didn't (too complicated to explain!). I REALLY liked the movie I watched. It was so sweet and the main character was such a teddy bear! Katie also REALLY like the movie SHE watched, and is excited for me to see it. We ate popcorn, drank soda, and treated ourselves to candy. I enjoyed myself so much! :)

Well, I FINALLY put a new poll up. Its for all of my faithful blog-reading, idol-watching friends! Or for all of the wonderful people who don't like it as much as I do, but have seen a few episodes. I'm excited to see what you guys say!

I have completed my Writing Foundations and General Science courses! Now I can concentrate on my other schoolwork that has been pushed to the side lately :). My science test went well, and my writing went VERY well. I am super thrilled that Ms. B. liked my portfolio :). She gave me full credit for the assignment and my short presentation, writing that it was "ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS"! I was overjoyed to read those words (in capital letters)! She also asked for a copy of the compilation which is a great honor. Also, in the WOW word game we played during our class (ask me about it later), my team won. Yipee! As you can tell from the way I am writing, I am enthusiastic about the end of the year.

Shortly after I write this post, I will return to my study of science. I have a test on Monday on this semester! I procrastinated this task greatly, but I don't have much more time until the test. This Monday will end my school year of General Science and Writing Foundations! I hope I do well on the test.....

Right now, I am in a different state for a funeral- my grandfather's funeral to be exact. He passed away on Monday. It was a very peaceful passing, and he was ready to go. In his old age, he became fully reliant on Jesus as his only hope. It helps to know that he is now in a much better situation than he was, without any mourning, crying, or pain. We will miss him much, but we know he is in heaven now, with Jesus.

Okay, so I am doing a very silly poll just for fun, but will you guys please still answer? Click the little box thingy next to your favorite fast food restaurant, then post a comment here telling me which one you chose and why!
P.S. I'm going to try to keep posting new polls. We'll see how it goes ;)
This evening, my dad and mom took the kids out to dinner! We went to a great, small restaurant that I don't remember ever going to before. I got spaghetti and ravioli, Amy got Alfredo, and we were going to share both. She never ended up eating much of mine, but I got some of her's. It was delicious. We also got a loaf of bread to split, which came with scrumptious garlic butter! Yummy!

My class in co-op is doing a short play for drama! I got the main character's part! I'm super excited. The main character at first is a brat, so that part will be fun. The more difficult part to perform will come towards the end when she is changing to be nice. Well, I'm thrilled! If anyone wants to come, just call me!

Yes, you read the title correctly. When Allie and I were driving back to her appartment, some the passenger lights blicked every once-in-a-while. Allie was afraid that the back doors might fling open when we got onto the highway, so I hopped out, and tried opening and closing the doors. They were frozen shut (like they had been the day before). After I had tried to get them open and couldn't, I seated myself in the car, and Allie started to drive. The car started beeping. At least one of the doors must have been slightly open, so the warner kept going off. It was an on-going "beep, beep, beep, beep". We drove all the way back home with it on (and it wasn't just a very "faint" beep). Later, when my mom and I had to drive back to our house, my mom tried opening the doors, but it didn't work. So.......my mom and I drove back to our house with the "beep, beep, beep, beep"! My mom and I calculated it. I counted approximately 100 "beep"s per minute. The drive to Allie's was about 15 minutes long, and the ride to my house was about 20 minutes long. That is 3,500 "beep"s!

Gideon took a bath and Grandma O.'s house! He looked so adorable. Amy jumped into her swimsuit and got wet with him (while making sure he was safe). We all gathered in their with my mom and her to watch Gideon wave! Here is a extremely cute video and a few pictures:
What movie character do you guess think he looks like with that thing on his head? (family not allowed to guess)

Today my dad took Keith and I ice skating. It was very fun! A few kids from two other families met us there, and we messed around on the ice and played hockey. I don't think that I ever completely lost control of myself. Yipee! :) Then again, I wasn't very daring, and didn't play hockey very long. Anyway, I had a lot of fun.
Well, I'm posting again! You guys should be proud of me. I have posted twice in two days. Anyway, this post is about how earlier today I was watching Gideon, and snapped some cute pictures.
....as you may have noticed, Gideon has many teeth now, and it makes him all the more cute, especially when he grins. :) If you want to read about Gideon's progress, and his family, just visit: http://www.youhavemademeglad.blogspot.com/ ! Gideon looking up at Auntie Erie (above)

Again I have failed to post for a very long time, but I realized something with the help of my little sister Amy. I'll get back to what I realized, but first I'll give you some background information: Amy recently developed her own blog! If you would like to visit it, type www.hehassavedme.blogspot.com into the large box thing that you type web addresses in. Or, you could just click that underlined portion. Anyway, Amy has posted three times so far, but they are all fairly short. So that brings me to what I realized, I realized that I DO NOT NEED TO PUBLISH EXTEMELY LONG POSTS! Well, now I am going to try to post more frequently, even if I don't have much to say!
